Fr. Mbandama tackles mental health issues among youths

Catholic Church Provincial Superior for Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Namibia and Botswana, Father Michael Mbandama says the church has a role to help youths cope with mental health issues through the use of social media platforms and clubs.

He made the remarks during the launch of a youth education initiative and provincial chapter 11 at Don Bosco Institute of Education whose aim is to enlighten the youths by equipping them with vocational skills and instilling moral values.

William Mupangani, a member of Provincial Chapter 11 says youth involvement in societal and church activities is necessary because it sharpens youths on how they can address critical issues that affect the society.

The meeting was a preparation of the general meeting scheduled for 2025.
