Standard Bank gives K25 million towards 2024 Mother’s Fun Run

Standard Bank has contributed K25 million to this year’s Mothers’ Fun Run as part of its commitment towards supporting the health sector, particularly in Chikwawa, to have enough medical equipment.

The bank’s Head of Legal and Governance, Norah Nsanja, said they recognise that the health sector is critical to the economy and that the challenges cannot be tackled by the government alone.

Founder of Mother’s Day Fun Run and Nation Publications Chief Executive Officer, Mbumba Banda, said this year’s event has received massive support since the intervention started 19 years ago.

The proceeds from the 2024 Mother’s Day fun amounting to K381 million will go to Chikwawa District Hospital and other health facilities in the district.
