Muslims in Mangochi observe Eid with renewed hope amid natural calamities

Muslims in Mangochi have conducted Eid Ul Fitr prayers with renewed hope that Allah will save them from natural calamities affecting the district.

Speaking during main prayers at St Augustine 2 Primary School Ground, Regional Chairman for Malawi Congress Party for the Eastern Region, Foster Mtandama, said President Dr Lazarus Chakwera stands firm with the people of Mangochi as they observe Eid El Fitr.

He therefore said the prayers should be a unifying factor as the district is going through the natural calamities of swelling waters in lake Malawi.

Through Ntandama, Dr Chakwera has presented a K1.5 million donation to QMAM Mangochi chapter.
