First Lady urges women to lead in praying for Malawi’s progres

First Lady Madam Monica Chakwera has urged women to take the lead in praying for the nation’s development.

Madam Chakwera made the remarks during the official opening ceremony of the 2024 Malawi Assemblies of God National Women’s Ministries Convention, currently underway at Kamuzu Academy in Kasungu.

The First Lady emphasised that God relies on women to ensure the country progresses.

“Women need to seek guidance from God so that whatever they learn during the conference will be of great value in their lives,” said Madam Chakwera.

She further encouraged the women to take an interest in the Malawi 2063 vision by creating their own actionable plans to achieve by 2063.

The theme for the 2024 National Women’s Ministries Convention, which runs until Saturday, 3 August, is “Trailblazer: Finishing Strong.”
