Silwimba Joins Wanderers

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers have secured the services of Timothy Silwimba on a three-year contract from Civil Service United Football Club, where he was the club’s captain.

Silwimba, who primarily plays as a left-back, underwent a successful medical examination on Monday, paving the way for his transfer.

The announcement was made on Wanderers’ official Facebook Page, hailing Silwimba as a “phenomenal” addition to their squad ahead of the 2024 football season.

Expressing his enthusiasm for joining the team, Silwimba stated, “It is a dream club for many. I accept the challenge with gratefulness and joy. I commit my dedication to the badge and hope for a successful season ahead.”

Civil Service United Football Club bid farewell to their star player on their Facebook page, thanking him for his dedicated service.

“We wish you all the best, captain,” read a post bidding farewell to Silwimba.

During the previous season, Silwimba earned four Man of the Match awards and was also named Civil’s Player of the Season.
