Sponsors of National Schools Chess League, Nico Asset Managers, have doubled this year’s league sponsorship to K16 Million.
Daniel Dunga, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, announced this increase during the launch of the 2024 edition at Chichiri Secondary School in Blantyre.
The tournament, which began last year, sees all secondary schools in the country competing within their respective education divisions all the way to the national level.
Top two schools from the country’s six education divisions qualify for the national finals.
Limbe Community Day Secondary School are the national defending champions, having won last year’s championship.
