Tilitonse Foundation committed to empowering partners

Local NGO, Tilitonse Foundation has emphasised that supporting local organisations economically helps build their capacity.

Chairperson of the organisation, Desmond Kaunda, revealed this in Lilongwe on Wednesday during a two-day event dubbed Patsinde Networking.

Kaunda said the conference aims to empower local organisations and promote innovative solutions to tackle their urgent challenges.

He said it will also review the Catalyst Fund, which supports 23 organisations, with the aim of learning from its successes and identifying solutions to the challenges faced by grant partners.

The Chairperson also added the gathering will unite grant partners under the Shifting the Power Programme’s Catalyst Fund.

One of the participants and beneficiaries of the funds, the Sacramentine Sisters of Bergamo, said the support has enabled training sessions for data collection and helped address financial challenges.

However, Sister Florence Mmeta, who is the Sister-in-Charge at the organisation, noted that there are still some projects that are struggling due to insufficient funding.
