SADC has lost an important leader —Chakwera

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has left the country for Windhoek, Namibia where he will attend the state funeral of that country’s president, Dr Hage Geingob.

Speaking on departure at Kamuzu International Airport, President Chakwera said SADC has lost an important leader who, in his wisdom, worked tirelessly to promote peace in Africa.

Dr Chakwera is expected to return home on Sunday 25 February, 2024.
