PAC against politicking tragic events

The quasi-religious organization, Public Affairs Committee (PAC) has repeated calls for the political leadership to refrain from politicizing the recent plane crash that killed Vice President Saulos Chilima and eight others.

In a statement, which PAC’s Spokesperson Gilford Matonga has signed as the country marked 21 days of mourning, the grouping has urged politicians to focus on promoting unity.

He has since commended President Dr Lazarus Chakwera for his continued efforts of promoting peace and unity, futher urging the citizenry not to entertain politicians who will be using the plane crash in order to score political points.

For more on this, listen to MBC Radio 1’s Malawi Panorama tomorrow Wednesday from 6 am.
