NATIONAL PRODUCT MAGAZINE GETS REGIONAL RECOGNITION

National Product Magazine, a periodical that promotes manufacturing industries among Southern Africa Development Community’s (SADC) member states has been presented with a letter of recognition from the President of Mozambique Felipe Nyusi.

In the letter, President Nyusi commended the National Product Magazine for profiling the SADC region’s success stories.

“I also take this opportunity to commend your magazine and your entire team as well as the media fraternity for the encouragement and for drawing attention, showcasing and bringing visibility to the humble contributions we have been making for the betterment of the lives of our people in the country and the SADC region at large,” said the former SADC Chairperson.

Speaking after receiving the letter from Mozambican High Commissioner in Malawi, Managing Director for the Magazine Arthur Steve Chinyamula, described the development as motivating.

Chinyamula attributed the recognition from President Nyusi to the media freedom prevailing in the country and the SADC region as a whole.

“Malawi and Mozambique enjoy cordial bilateral ties because of the good relationship fostered by Dr Chakwera and President Nyusi. It is a catalyst for the development of the two nations,” said Chinyamula.

Mozambican High Commission, First Secretary, Inocêncio Tamele said President Nyusi recognises that people of the two countries and SADC are hard workers and that their stories need to be celebrated.

Chinyamula has since disclosed that this year, the magazine is planning to award leading manufacturers in SADC at a ceremony to be held in Lilongwe.
