Mchinji District Hospital, Our Aim Foundation strengthen partnership

Mchinji District Hospital and Our Aim Foundation have solidified their collaboration in healthcare services through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

This agreement will integrate health workers from the Foundation into the government payroll system.

Acting Director of Health Services, Dr Yohane Mwale has said the partnership will address healthcare gaps, distance and transportation difficulties targeted communities are facing, among other critical areas.

The Foundation has constructed a health centre in Mbewa Village targeting 78 villages in the area of Traditional Authority Kawere in the district and surrounding communities.

“Health service coverage is inadequate and there is need for more synergies to achieve universal health coverage. This partnership will enable us to serve rural communities better,” said Mwale.

The Foundation’s Secretary, Blessings Kaphwiti Banda said they are committed to providing basic needs such as healthcare, food, solar homes, education, water and sanitation services to rural communities.
