Maso Awards has announced a new partnership with Ad City Advertisers for this year’s award ceremony, which will be held on 28 December 2024 in Blantyre.
Ad City General Manager, Aubrey Mpango, disclosed this on Thursday in Blantyre during the signing of the agreement.
He said that the company has contributed K5 million in sponsorship, covering various items for the event, and attributed the collaboration to their commitment to supporting Malawi’s entertainment industry and recognising the achievements of local talent.
Publicist for Maso Awards, Sivy Simon, expressed optimism about the partnership, noting its importance to the event’s success.
“Not only are we delighted, but we’re also hopeful this support will ease many aspects, such as t-shirts and roll-up banners, which Ad City will handle—meaning we can focus more on the ceremony itself,” she said.
Simon also highlighted that preparations are currently at 80 percent completion.
In addition to Ad City, Maso Awards previously secured a partnership with Fedesh Properties.
This year’s event will feature over 43 categories, including five new ones.
Notably, the Gospel Act category has been split into Best Male and Best Female performer, and a similar division has been applied to the social media category.
