MACRA’S CERT VOWS TO TACKLE CYBER THREATS

The Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) has reaffirmed its dedication to continuous engagement with stakeholders on cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

Head of MACRA’s Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), Christopher Banda, said the authority will diligently deliver its advisory and sensitisation role to computer users on cyber threats which have a direct impact on the country’s economic landscape.

The move comes in response to the escalating challenges posed by cyber threats globally and their potential repercussions on national economies.

Banda has since underscored the significance of sustained collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance preparedness and resilience against evolving cyber risks.
