FUEL PRICES NOT ADJUSTED – MERA

The Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) has dismissed reports making rounds on social media that the prices of Petrol, Diesel, Paraffin and Liquefied Petroleum Gas have gone up, MERA’s Chief Executive Officer, Henry Kachaje announces in a statement.

Kachaje says fuel prices remain as effected on 23rd June 2022.

“The MERA Board, the only Authority responsible for determining prices of energy sales and services, has not made any fresh determination on energy prices. MERA always makes its pricing decisions known to the general public,” reads the end part of the statement.
