Late Major Flora Selemani Ngwinjili, who was the first female pilot in the Malawi Defence Force (MDF), will be laid to rest in Thyolo District tomorrow.
She joined MDF after completing her Malawi School Certificate of Education examination in 1999 and served in a number of departments before settling at Airwing, where she finally made the grade as a pilot in 2015.
She died while in the line of duty at Chikangawa in Mzimba, along with seven others as well as the Vice President, late Dr Saulos Chilima.
