President Dr Lazarus Chakwera and First Lady Madam Monica Chakwera are this morning attending Mangochi Diocese’s Golden Jubilee celebrations at Mangochi Stadium.
The diocese is also celebrating the silver Jubilee for four of its priests and will ordain two deacons as priests at the same event.
The historic event for the diocese has gathered a massive cloud from within the diocese and beyond.
The diocese was established in 1973 and has 25 parishes spread across Mangochi, Balaka and part of Machinga.
