FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have emerged as front runners in the nominations for the 2023 Castel Challenge Cup Player Awards.
Bullets’ Hassan Kajoke and Lanjesi Nkhoma are contending for the title of Best Player of the Tournament alongside Silver Strikers’ Patrick Macheso.
Additionally, Richard Chimbamba has secured a nomination for the best Goalkeeper, competing against Rahman John of Bangwe All Stars and Pilirani Mapira of Silver Strikers.
Emmanuel Saviel and Talandira Chigaula from Bangwe All Stars, along with Grem Lemela from Chitipa United, are vying for the prestigious accolade of Best Discovery of the season.
Gomezgani Zakazaka, the Competitions and Communications Director of the Football Association of Malawi (FAM), stated that the nominations were determined through statistical analysis of competition data conducted by the Competitions Technical Study group.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 21, 2024, in the City of Blantyre.

Bullets clinched the title after defeating Silver 4-2 in a post-match penalty shootout, following a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
Castel Malawi has partnered FAM for a three-year period, with an annual sponsorship allocation of K320 million.
