The Association of Medical Council of Africa (AMCOA) has emphasised the need for African countries to embrace digital solutions in the health sector to bring about efficiency.
President of AMCOA, Simon Nemutandani, delivered the message during a capacity building workshop for health practitioners from across Africa in Lilongwe.
He said the move could help improve the quality of life as well as address some health challenges that Africa is facing.
Minister of Health, Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda, hailed AMCOM for the interface and said the Malawi government is aligning different innovative strategies to ensure that universal health coverage is achieved.
The three-day workshop is being held under the theme ‘Use of Digital Technology and Innovation in Strengthening Governance and Regulation in Healthcare.’
