African Development Bank (AfDB) has set aside $12 billion for the next six years for water and sanitation projects on the African continent.
The bank’s officials revealed this in Blantyre on Thursday at the closure of the 3rd Africa Water Supply and Sanitation Regulators Conference.
Director of Policy Planning in the Ministry of Water and Sanitation, Max Wengawenga, who was also the organising Chairperson of the conference, stressed that there are funding opportunities available following the grant.
The three day conference brought together over 30 African countries under the theme Adaptive Regulation Addressing Emergent issues.
