Mighty Wanderers Football Club (2021) Limited has officially disbanded its supporters board, the national supporters committee, and the regional supporters committees.
In a press statement released and signed by the club’s president, Thomson Mpinganjira, it was announced that all matters previously under the purview of the dissolved bodies would now be directed to the Board Secretary, Chancy Gondwe.
Responding to this development, Sports Analyst Dan Chemis characterizes it as an anticipated move, especially in light of the recent overhaul of the technical and main boards within the team.
“While the leadership of the supporters boards gave their best effort, the challenges of enduring a trophy-less season and the unfortunate incidents at the Bingu National Stadium of vandalising property during their Airtel Top 8 game against Silver Strikers likely influenced the club president’s decision,” remarked Chemis.
