Wisely Phiri on the left
The Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) membership has voted Sparc Systems Limited Managing Director Wisely Phiri as the body’s president.
Phiri, who is replacing Illovo Sugar Malawi Managing Director Lekani Katandula, went unopposed.
The election took place in Mangochi at MCCCI Elective Annual General Meeting.
Former TNM Chief Executive Officer Arnold M’bwana has been voted as deputy president after defeating Billy Chiotha and Kingwell Liphuka.
The body has also elected councillors for northern, central, and southern regions.
