Emmanuel University in Lilongwe has today celebrated its students that have graduated with diploma in primary education, which they tout as a first from a privately run university in the country.
Archbishop Mark Kambalazaza, Chancellor of the University, expressed profound joy and hailed the government’s proactive stance towards inclusivity and the promotion of privately-owned educational institutions.
Dr Valentino Zimpita, Deputy Director of Higher Learning at the Ministry of Education, recognized the dedication of private universities in aligning with government policies in higher education.
The graduation ceremony coincided with the launch of the Women’s University in Africa programme, a collaborative effort between Emmanuel University and Women’s University in Africa, promising further advancements in education and empowerment.
