TNM empowers Thyolo families with livestock

A total of 11 families from Tikondande Cooperative in Traditional Authority Nchilamwera, Thyolo, have received 11 cows under the TNM Mudzi Wathu pass on project.

It marks the official launch of the K318 million initiative by the mobile network service provider.

Speaking at Mbandanga Community Ground, TNM’s Chief Technical Officer, LIoyd Gowera, said the initiative resonates with the company’s objectives.

Chairperson for Tikondane Cooperative, who is also Group Village Headman Chibwana, said the cows will help reduce social economic challenges people face in the area.

Through partnerships established at the community level, the Mudzi Wathu project allows TNM to re-invest 1 percent of its revenue from network usage into development projects chosen by the community.
