Speaker of Parliament says the House will still recognise legislator Kondwani Nankhumwa as the Leader of Opposition in Parliament because of a court injunction that is still in effect.
Gotani Hara says her hands are tied and that the final direction on how the House will handle business regarding who will be the LOP will be made by the courts.
She says as it stands, Nankhumwa will respond to the SONA on behalf of DPP and Navicha will come after him as a leader in DPP.
The Speaker says Navicha’s appointment by DPP is valid but Nankhumwa will be recognised because of the injunction and that he attended the Business Meeting.
