Sparc Systems Limited has sponsored this year’s Bankers Association of Malawi (BAM) Annual Conference with K10 million.
Speaking during the cheque presentation in Lilongwe, Technical Director at Sparc Systems Limited, Chikondi Koloko, said the donation is to support local banks’ agenda of technology advancement in their banking systems.
“This is not the first time we are supporting this conference. We believe the agenda of banks to advance inclusive banking is ideal. You can’t talk about inclusive banking without talking about IT, hence Sparc’s interest,” said Koloko.
Representative of BAM, Linda Nkosi of Centenary Bank, applauded Sparc’s gesture, saying the funds will help cater for the hospitality of delegates.
This is the 9th Annual Conference for the Bankers Association of Malawi and will take place in Mangochi at Sunbird Nkopola from 22 to 24 August 2024 under the theme ‘Bridging the Gap: Inclusive Banking and Sustainable Development for All’.
