Agabus Mwang’onda, a resident in Karonga, says time has come for the corporate world to promote women’s football in the country.
Mwang’onda said this at Maghemo Secondary School Ground during the launch of Agabus Ingambako Women Football League for Karonga district women football teams.
“Let the corporate world start supporting women football in the country as the game has potential to uplift the future of many girls and women in the country. The game also helps them to refrain from immoral behavior during holidays as they will be busy playing football,” Mwang’onda said.
During the launch, Karonga United Women Football Club clobbered Baka City Women Football Club by four goals to nil.
