More than 1,200 students have graduated from the University of Malawi (UNIMA) with certificates, diplomas and degrees.
Speaking during the ceremony in Zomba, Vice Chancellor of UNIMA, Professor Samson Sajid, urged the graduates to create jobs for others.
Professor Sajidu presided over the ceremony on behalf of the Chancellor of the University, President Dr Lazarus Chakwera.
Earlier, the Chairperson of the Council of UNIMA, Dr Christopher Guta implored graduates to seize opportunities that lie ahead.
In a related event on Wednesday, UNIMA awarded Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi with an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in International Affairs and Diplomacy.
