Agriculture fair key in boosting market access for farmers – FAMSE

Financial Access for Rural Markets Smallholders and Entreprises (FAMSE) says the National Agriculture Fair provides a crucial platform for local farmers to connect with companies and buyers, fostering long-term business relationships for economic growth.

Modester Namangale, FAMSE’s Community Based Financial Organizations Coordinator, shared these insights at this year’s National Agriculture Fair underway in Blantyre.

The 20th edition of the National Agriculture Fair was opened on Thursday by President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi.

The fair, which is themed “Driving Towards Export-Oriented Agriculture through Commercialization and Innovation,” has attracted 184 exhibitors, up from last year’s 113, including exhibitors from Mozambique, Kenya, and Eswatini.
