Former treasurer for Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in Mzuzu city Moses Samala has joined the Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
Speaking in Mzuzu when he, together with 50 others, announced their defection MCP, Samala attributed his decision to what he called disunity in the DPP.
MCP Regional Chairman for the North South, Joseph Chavula and District Chairperson in Mzuzu, Franklin Hara have said the party will continue welcoming defectors because President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has development goals which can accommodate everyone.
