MEC urge Stakeholders to disseminate right information

Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) says there is need for stakeholders such as political parties to provide accurate information ahead of the 2025 Elections.

MEC Chairperson Justice Annabel Mtalimanja says misinformation brings challenges not only for MEC but for the citizens of Malawi.

She made the remarks at Mponela in Dowa during the review of the pilot voter registration workshop ahead of the National registeration exercise will commence on 21 October 2024.

Mtalimanja said MEC continues to be transparent and engage relevant stakeholders in all the electoral processes.

” I want to assure Malawians that MEC will continue to work within the framework of the law so as to delivery free, fair and credible elections in 2025,” Said Mtalimanja

Malawi will hold it’s general election in September 2025.
