A 51–year–old man, Manda Makowa, has committed suicide, having struggled with body pains since 2021.
Deputy publicist for Lilongwe Police, Khumbo Sanyiwa, says the incident occurred on February 28 2024 at Dizmond Village, Traditional Authority Masula in Lilongwe, which is Makowa’s home village.
Apparently, Makowa had disappeared and was later discovered by villagers, who reported the matter to Mitundu Police and a medical postmortem revealed that the cause of death was suffocation secondary to strangulation.
