The second high level conference of the forum on global action for shared development has officially been launched today in Beijing, China with Malawi scouting alternative projects financing from development partners.
The conference brings together high level representatives from countries and international organisations as well as the private sector.
Leader of the Malawi delegation, Secretary to the Treasury Betchani Tchereni, said the conference gives Malawi an alternative to other development projects financiers apart from the ones the country already gets financing from.
Economics Association of Malawi President Bertha Chikadza has since advised government to ask for better conditions from financiers as it scouts alternatives.
The conference which has been organized by China International Development Corporation Agency (CIDCA) is running under the theme: Promoting Sustainable Development: Continuous Actions for a Better Future.
