MALAWI QUEENS STUN SCOTLAND, TO FACE ENGLAND TODAY

Malawi Queens last evening came from behind to beat Scotland 55 – 49 in the teams group B opener at the on – going Netball World Cup in Cape Town – South Africa.

Malawi Queens goal shooter who stars for New Zeland’s outfit Pulse Joyce Mvula emerged player for the match. Malawi is 6th on World Netball rankings while Scotland is on position 10.

The Queens face a stern test in their second game later today (Saturday, 29 July) from 6 o’clock in the evening when they face third placed England.

On Sunday, the Malawi will play Barbados from 11 o’clock in the morning. MBC will be broadcasting live a number of games involving Malawi.

This is the first time the tournament is being held in Africa. It threw off yesterday Friday and is expected to end next month on 6th August.
