LUANAR HAILS KWERA FUND

The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) has lauded  Kwera Fund for empowering several financially disadvantaged students in public universities.

Director of Students Affairs at LUANAR Ronnie Mvula was speaking at LUANAR Campus in Lilongwe during the 2024 Student Climber Awards organised by Kwera.

“For instance, in the previous academic year, 17 students failed to come to LUANAR because of tuition fees. Let me also appeal that the Kwera Fund should be extended to ODL students,” said Mvula.

Chief Executive Officer for Kwera Fund, Jimmy Scavenius, has since pledged continued support to students in need.

Kwera not only provides social capital to students but also assists with internship placement, it also creates a lifelong network that goes beyond their time at the university.

Currently, over 1,000 students from all the public universities are benefiting from the fund.
