Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS), through its Health Economics and Policy Unit (HEPU), is holding its 14th Extraordinary Think Tank Conference in Lilongwe.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Towards Institutionalization of the Thanzi All Disease model (TLM) in Malawi’ and aims to explore innovative strategies for resource allocation in the healthcare sector.
The TLM is a comprehensive approach designed to improve health outcomes by integrating services and addressing multiple health challenges in the country.
KUHeS Vice Chancellor, Professor MacPherson Mallewa has emphasised the conference’s significance, highlighting that the TLM model could greatly influence health policy making and enhance healthcare systems in the country.
Government officials, health practitioners, and international experts are participating in the two-day conference, which is set to conclude on Thursday.
