Karonga United has concluded its 2024 TNM Super League Home games with a victory after defeating Bangwe All Stars 2-0.
Both goals came in the second half after it ended 0-0 in the first.
Saulos Moyo, who came in as a substitute for Karonga, scored at the 55th minute before Ellie Kayombo doubled the lead in the 80th minute.
In the post-match interviews, Assistant Coach for Karonga United, Chris Chinkwita, said the win was a farewell to the supporters since it was their last assignment playing at home in the league.
Bangwe All Stars’ coach, Trevor Kajawa, accepted the loss, saying a win was vital to escape relegation.
Karonga United ranks 6th with 41 points from 28 games while Bangwe is 13th with 27 points from 29 games.
