The High Court in Lilongwe is set to give its ruling on Vice President Saulos Chilima’s application for more disclosures in a case where he is being accused of receiving money to influence award of contracts to businessman Zunneth Sattar.
The ruling is expected to resolve a misunderstanding between Chilima’s lawyers and the Malawi Defence Force.
The defence is seeking more disclosure of the available evidence from the State but the MDF is objecting on grounds of relevance and national security concern.
