Police officers need a comfortable working environment to improve their efficiency and service delivery, says humanitarian Chawezi Banda, popularly known as Chacha.
Chacha, who serves as the brand ambassador for Lingadzi Police Station, made the observation after donating 35 office fans to the station.
She said the donation followed her visits to police offices, where she noticed inadequate ventilation, leaving officers struggling to work comfortably, especially during the current hot weather.
Chacha believes improving workplace conditions can help officers maintain concentration and enhance their productivity.
Receiving the donation, Lingadzi Police Station Officer-in-Charge, Assistant Commissioner of Police Charles Mpezeni, said the equipment will be shared among the station’s 10 police units.
Mpezeni also reaffirmed the police service’s commitment to protecting lives and property and maintaining public safety.
