United Nations SecretarySecretary-GeneralGuterres has bemoaned increased conflicts which are disrupting global peace and development.

Guterres was speaking when he officially opened the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York in the United States of America.

The UN Chief further called on member states to collectively address climate change which he said is slowly crippling the global economy.

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera, who was a keynote speaker at the UN Sustainable Development Goals SDG Summit on Monday, joined other leaders at the culmination of the session which started about three weeks ago.
