Honorary Consul to Malawi for the State of Israel, Nir Gess has been nominated for African Achievers Awards slated for today, July 14 in London.
The 13th African Achievers Awards will be held at the House of the Lords of the United Kingdom.
According to communication MBC Online has in possession, Lord Wooley of Woodford has invited the nominees to a celebratory dinner at the Palace of Westminister.
The Israel Honorary Consul will be presented with an Honorary Doctorate Degree. Gess is a businessman, entrepreneur, philanthropist and diplomat.
He is also involved in many different businesses in Israel, Africa and around the world in the
areas of agriculture, commodities, media,
security and cyber.
“The greenhouse farms he has built in Malawi have turned the country into an agro-produce exporting country. He has an extensive background in the security world including aviation security and cyber and has even served as the Head of the Security Detail for Israel’s Prime Minister.
“Gess’s passion for saving children from human
trafficking led him to create the Beth Israel
Safe Home in Malawi, a home that sheltered
and educated rescued victims of child
trafficking. For this, he won the Forbes
Cannes Award. He is also an Honoured
Member of the International Officers Club
(Paris),” reads the communication in part.
A total of 42 individuals have been nominated for the awards based on their outstanding innovations and contributions in their respective areas of expertise.
