Federation of Disability Organisations in Malawi (FEDOMA) has commended the government for its zeal to support the rights of persons with disabilities in the country.
FEDOMA Executive Director, Simon Munde, was speaking at the ongoing Disability Rights Fund (DRF) grantee conference at BICC in Lilongwe.
He cited the passing and operationalisation of the Disability Law and the ratification of several regional and international protocols on the rights of persons of people with disabilities.
Chrissy Zimba, Programme Officer for Malawi at the Disability Rights Fund, expressed excitement over the positive impact of their advocacy, as FEDOMA’s financier, on the disability movement.
