Deputy Minister of Local Government, Unity and Culture, Owen Chomanika, has described development projects under construction in Chikwawa District as impressive and stressed the need for people to demand quality work.
Chomanika has said this after touring construction works at Chikwawa District Hospital and Mivunza Bridge.
Initially, Chikwawa District Hospital had an old operating theatre room, which made operations difficult.
But now with the coming in of the new structure, officials say health service provision has improved at the facility.
On the other hand, Mivunza Bridge was washed away during Cyclone Freddy, and this made the area unreachable.
The visits are meant to monitor progress and ensure effectiveness and utilization of government funds.
