BWB dates customers on service delivery

Blantyre Water Board (BWB) has urged its customers to be reporting any irregularities with the board’s service delivery.

BWB Director of Distribution and Commerce, Ferson Kafodya, said this in Blantyre when the board engaged its customers on various issues, including illegal connections, which Kafodya said reduces revenue collection for the board’s operations.

He said getting closer to the customers through such meetings is vital as it assists in creating a good relationship for the benefit of both the water utility body and the customers.

“There cannot be Blantyre Water Board without the customers, hence the need for them to know what we are doing and going through,” Kafodya said.

Group Village Headman Matope of Ndirande Township said the meeting has enlightened them on the operations of BWB, saying everyone needs clean water to prevent diseases.
