The Lilongwe Chief Resident Magistrate Court has adjourned the case involving Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife, Mary to Thursday.
The defence is then expected to cross-examine Sibongile Mzinyathi, the Director of Public Prosecution for Gauteng Province in South Africa.
The defence hopes to conclude cross-examining Mzinyathi on Thursday, allowing the state to proceed with re-examination.
The state anticipates the re-examination of the witness will not take more than a day.
Today, Defence Lawyer, Wapona Kita asked Mzinyathi to disclose eight documents relating to a warrant of the arrest of Bushiri in connection with rape charges against him, but the witness showed only three.
Meanwhile, State Advocate, Dzikondianthu Malunda, said despite some of the witnesses withdrawing their cases in South Africa, the state will continue with proceedings for the extradition case.
