BUSHIRI PLEDGES SUPPORT TO CYCLONE FREDDY’ SURVIVORS

Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has pledged to adopt eight camps which are unreachable in Mulanje West Constituency.

Prophet Bushiri who went on a fact finding mission to Mulanje said he wanted to assess the needs of the people.

“We want to assist people who are in the hardest hit areas and have not received any assistance due to logistical issues.”

Bushiri said a helicopter has been hired which will arrive in the country on 19 March. He then assured the people that  distribution exercise will commence on Monday, 20 March.

Prophet Bushiri said after a while the adopted families will be given cash to re-build their families.Member of Parliament of Mulanje West, Yousuf Nthenda, said he was grateful for the gesture.

“This is the first of its kind in my constituency,”Nthenda said.

Mulanje  is one of the districts that have been worst hit by Cyclone Freddy.
