Airtel Africa expresses commitment towards improving teachers’ lives

Airtel Africa says it will continue to build on its commitment to supporting governments and institutions to improve the lives of teachers and the standards of teaching and learning.

Chief Executive Officer for Airtel Africa, Sunil Taldar, made the commitment in a statement as the world was Celebrating Teachers’ Day on Friday.

Taldar said it remains Airtels’s commitment to supporting teachers and ensuring they have the resources, respect, and recognition they deserve.

“Teachers are the architects of our future, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure they are equipped, empowered and inspired. On behalf of Airtel Africa, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all teachers for their dedication, passion, and tireless efforts,” Taldar said.

This year’s celebrations are under the theme, “The Teachers We Need for the Education We Want: The Global Imperative to Reverse the Teacher Shortage”.
