Goshen International has called on administrative professionals in Malawi to embrace new skills and technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), to meet the changing demands of modern workplaces and contribute to the achievement of Malawi 2063.
The call was made by Goshen International representative Michele Thwaits in Mangochi during a four-day Executive Administration Conference organised by the organisation.
Thwaits says the role of administrative professionals is becoming increasingly strategic, requiring them to manage multiple tasks, communicate professionally and solve problems efficiently.
One of the participants, Chimwemwe Kamanga, an Executive Assistant at FINCA Malawi, says the knowledge gained from the training will help her contribute to achieving the organisation’s goals.
Another participant, Shammim Bakari, an Administrative Assistant at NBM, has encouraged organisations to send their administrative staff to such training programmes, saying improved skills among frontline staff can contribute to better organisational performance.
Goshen International is an international organisation based in South Africa that provides practical training in office management, executive assistance and related areas.
A similar workshop was held in Salima last year.
