Chitipa Stadium ready for use — SULOM

Super League of Malawi (SULOM) has expressed its satisfaction with the preparations for Sunday’s match at Chitipa Stadium as the home team lock horns against Clerk Sporting Club.

This means Chitipa United will host their very first Super League game at home.

SULOM Executive Member, Henry Banda, affirmed that all is well at the venue, which was recently certified to host league games.

“We are well prepared for the games and people should expect exciting matches…the facility is of good standard with all the necessary amenities that will make players feel comfortable,”

General Secretary for Chitipa United, Watson Kabaghe, commended SULOM for training them, saying this will enable them to competently host elite games.

He urged fans to embrace the spirit of paying at the gate rather than attempting to enter the stadium illegally as core business for a team to run relies on finances.

“If we cannot utilise our home stadium to generate substantial funds, then we will not have money to operate,” Kabaghe said.
