Education ministry to intensify audits in private universities

Ministry of Education says it will Intensify audits in private universities in the country, to ensure that such institutions are operating within government’s education standards.

Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Education Mangani Katundu said this in Lilongwe during the 10th congregation of Exploits University, which has seen 635 students graduating.

President for Exploits University Desmond Bikoko said the university encourages students to venture into entrepreneurship when they graduate to be employers not employees.

Bikoko however said the University has lined up strategies to ensure that it gets accreditation of many programs to offer to students.

According to Bikoko, Exploits University graduates an average of 450 students per year.
