Professor Asiyatu Lorraine Chiweza Director General of Malawi School of Government (MSG) says the merger between Mpemba Staff Development Institute (SDI) and Malawi Institute of Management (MIM) forming MSG has a synergetic effect of leveraging best competencies from both institutions in training civil servants in the country and those in need of  its services.

Professor Chiweza said the institution has made big strides in developing new programmes that speak to the growing needs of the job market.

“It is in the vision of the institution to contribute positively towards realising the Malawi 2063,” said Dr Chakwera.

The President said It is encouraging that the coming in of the institution is corresponding well to the country’s development blueprint, Malawi 2063 and will support it so that it functions to expected standards.
